PA: 150 states to recognize Palestine by Sept.

Tiny Israel is feeling the pressure.  From the Israeli Prime Minister down to the average citizen on the street, the pressure is on to swing some sort of peace deal with the Palestinians by September of this year.

In a just conducted poll of Israeli citizens, 55% expect an increase in pressure on their country due to the current middle-east uprisings.  Even Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu is feeling the pressure as it is said the he would consider implementing an interim peace deal with the Palestinians that will gradually see a new nation of Palestine established alongside the Jewish state.  With upwards of 150 nations now expected to recognize a new Palestinian state by September of this year, Israel doesn’t seem to have much choice but to go along with the prevalent world view.

Are we now seeing the lining up of events that will lead to the fulfillment of the seven year agreement that the Prophet Daniel recorded in Daniel 9:27?  While we would not rule out such a prophetic fulfillment, it is our opinion that these events will not lead to peace, but will instead lead to war in the region.

With the changing dynamics in the middle-east, and the potential for more radical, anti-Israel Islamic regimes taking hold in the region, the potential for the fulfillment of the Psalm 83 war prophecy has never been closer.  Israel knows that is has been placed between a rock and a hard place.  Negotiate away much of its current security by giving away large chunks of land for peace, or hold firm against all this building world pressure and risk a full-scale war.

September of this year may be a pivotal moment in world history.  Especially given that many Christians are coming to the conclusion that the Rapture of the Church may happen during the fall feasts on the Jewish calendar.  Those Jewish feasts fall during the months of September and October on the calendar this year.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and Israel, but also keep looking up.  Your redemption may be closer than you think.

From the articles:
Palestinians expect broad global support: Some 150 countries will recognize a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders by September of this year, Palestinian Authority Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki said Wednesday.  Maliki claimed that 10 more states in the Caribbean region will be declaring their recognition of Palestine this month.  In an interview with The Media Line last week, the PA foreign minister said the Palestinians were on track to declaring an independent state by September.

Norwegian Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Store told Haaretz Wednesday that his country would reevaluate its position on recognizing a Palestinian state if no progress is made in the peace process by September 2011. Speaking from Jerusalem, where he is on a state visit, Gahr said Israel runs the risk of being seen internationally as a "permanent occupier" if the stalemate in the peace process continues. He said he was worried such a view would lead to a further delegitimization of Israel and would harm its security.

Most Israelis believe their country will come under increased international pressure to strike a peace accord with the Palestinians in the aftermath of massive Arab uprisings, public radio said on Saturday, citing an opinion poll. The survey said 55 percent of those polled said they expect stepped up pressure while 34 percent disagreed and 11 percent had no opinion. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is facing growing isolation over the impasse in peace talks and planning a new initiative to set up a Palestinian state within temporary borders, press reports said on Friday.
