As radical Islam sweeps through the eastern hemisphere of the world, and secularism in the west, Christian persecution will become more prevalent, especially for those that believe in a biblical Christianity. (Matthew 24:9).
If you're a left leaning liberal "Christian" who believes that Israel is the cause of all the middle-east problems, and that there is nothing wrong with abortion and homosexuality, and that the virgin birth and the idea of an eternal hell are just fairy tales, well you probably haven't much to worry about when it comes to persecution. However you may find you will have a whole lot to worry about when you find yourself in the Great Tribulation.
Don't kid yourself. Unless you are born again, and have acknowledged the saving grace of Jesus Christ......you come short of the glory of God. It does you no good to simply believe in God. You have to step out and acknowledge that you are outside the will of God, you are a sinner, (tough word), and ask for forgiveness, (tough task), and for Jesus Christ to enter and restore you back into a right relationship with the eternal God of our universe, (great feeling). If you can do all that, with full belief, then count yourself in.
You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder. James 2:19 NIV
This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:22-23 NIV
Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again. John 3:3
